Mr. Hat Presents a very Jerry Birthday weekend blowout- an evening with STEELY DEAD and KEYSTONE REVISTED w/ REED MATHIS on 6 string featuring the MAD ALCHEMY LIQUID LIGHTSHOW now ON THE WATERFRONT at the Mare Island Coal Sheds in Vallejo, CA. Local craft beers, wine and food trucks available, now also featuring a Burning Man sculpture art exhibit and fantastic waterfront views.

Steely Dead is a musical hybrid of the Grateful Dead and Steely Dan. Sonic worlds collide, between the structure, arrangement and precision studio recordings of rock legends Steely Dan, cross-pollinated with the Grateful Dead’s free-flowing, melodic improvisation and masterful song segues. Steely Dead merges these major concepts together while infusing the influence unto each band. Steely Dead is committed to the nuance of both bands while remaining playful with jam segues between songs, and delivering a unique musical blend. For fans of both or either one of these great bands.

Members of Steely Dead include Dave Abear of Melvin Seals and JGB, Bill McKay formerly of Derek Trucks Band and Leftover Salmon. Chris Sheldon of the DeadPhish Orchestra. Matt Abear and Dylan Teifer of Mr. Big Bear.

Keystone Revisited celebrates the music of Jerry Garcia and Merl Saunders and features the inimitable Tony Saunders on bass with a fantastic band featuring Scott Guberman, Sunshine Garcia Becker, Bradley Leach and for this show very special guest Reed Mathis!
