Singer/songwriter Jesse Lynn Madera has released her latest single, “Revel.” The track features Madera’s usual ethereal vocals and stunning melody and was written by her in the midst of the pandemic.
“I wrote ‘Revel’ around the holidays in 2020 after my mom recovered from COVID, and while our beloved cousins were suffering through it,” says Jesse. “The world felt so dark and uncertain, and when I sat down at the piano I wondered how I could be of service. It’s no coincidence that some of the happiest songs in existence have come out of dire times. I think of ‘Revel’ as a meditation and a prayer. Being on lockdown for so long made me long for good times. I know a lot of people were feeling pessimistic, and we were losing people to the shadows of hopelessness. We all needed a reminder that there are great times ahead. ‘Revel’ was my offering to the cause!”
“Revel” is melodic and uplifting and provides listeners with an anthem to ‘revel’ in the good around them and the better days to come. Listen to the single here.
