Karl Denson's Tiny Universe have announced "Game of Stones," a three-night run of shows focused on exploring the repertoire of The Rolling Stones. The tour begins Halloween night at Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, NY and then heads to Colorado for performances on November 2 at 10 Mile Music Hall in Frisco, CO and November 3 at The Boulder Theatre in Boulder, CO.
"Game of Stones will unite the seven kingdoms under the banner of Richards & Jagger,” says Denson who has served as the touring saxophonist in The Rolling Stones, having replaced the band's legendary, longtime reedman Bobby Keys upon his passing in 2014.
Denson and the Tiny Universe are well-versed in re-imagining and celebrating classic rock and soul music, with previous outings including an ode to The Allman Brothers Band dubbed "Eat A Bunch of Peaches" and a take on Prince's 'Dirty Mind.' album. Prior to Denson's affiliation with The Rolling Stones, KDTU toured a presentation of the band's 1971 cornerstone recording, 'Sticky Fingers.'
