Celebrated Nashville-based artist Lindsay Lou has announced new tour dates extending through the end of 2024 in support of her acclaimed Kill Rock Stars debut, Queen of Time. The additional dates include headlining performances in the Pacific Northwest this September, with support acts Maya de Vitry and Emma Rose. Lou will also make appearances at high-profile festivals such as CaveFest in Pelham, TN, and San Francisco's Hardly Strictly Bluegrass. Additionally, she will join fellow Nashville artist The Wood Brothers for select November dates and be a featured performer during the Allman Betts Family Revival tour throughout December. (Full tour dates below.)

Queen of Time has garnered widespread praise from outlets like Rolling Stone, Relix, PBS, The Bluegrass Situation, and Under the Radar. The album, produced by Dave O'Donnell (Sheryl Crow, Heart, James Taylor), chronicles Lou’s personal journey through heartbreak, discovery, and transformation following significant life events, including a divorce, the pandemic, and the loss of her beloved grandmother.

Reflecting on the album, Lou notes that Queen of Time "refers not to the duality of the human experience." The daughter of a coal miner and millwright, and granddaughter of a teacher turned healer, Lou honed her distinctive, resonant style with her bluegrass-inspired band, Lindsay Lou & The Flatbellys, and the Michigan supergroup, Sweet Water Warblers (Rachael Davis, May Erlewine). Her music dives into the emotional depths of bluegrass, folk, Americana, and soulful pop, all shaped by her life experiences.

Lou has long been lauded as a live performer, with standout appearances at Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Stagecoach, and Australia's National Folk Festival. She was also named one of NPR’s “12 Best Live Performances” in 2015 and dubbed a “Can’t Miss Act” at AmericanaFest. Now, with Queen of Time, Lou’s musical and personal evolution has reached new heights.

Recent Praise for Queen of Time:

  • PBS: “Guided by life experiences, Lindsay Lou's sound and songwriting continues to evolve and intertwine her sturdy bluegrass roots with progressive Americana and Folk.”
  • Rolling Stone: “You can hear Lou’s transformation on Queen of Time, a confident 11-song document that combines Americana, folk, indie-soul, and Lou’s brand of progressive bluegrass.”
  • Under the Radar: “…the elements that most define her music remain deeply personal; her lustrous vocals and resonant storytelling are the most prominent throughlines to her work.”
  • American Songwriter: “Ten stunning tracks that thoughtfully dive into an array of complex emotions and experiences.”
  • AllMusic: “A lovely, accomplished set of songs that offers compassion and wisdom in the face of adversity.”
