Marco Benevento has announced five additional shows in the first half of 2022. The Woodstock, NY-based artist will appear at Ardmore Music Hall in Ardmore, PA, just outside of Philadelphia, on February 25 and Union Stage in Washington, DC on February 26. He'll perform three additional shows in April with dates at The Sinclair in Cambridge, MA on April 7, Higher Ground in Burlington, VT on April 8 and StageOne in Fairfield, CT on April 9. Tickets go on-sale at marcobenevento.com this Friday, November 12 at 10am ET.
Benevento—who also plays keys in Joe Russo's Almost Dead—has maintained a scarce schedule since touring has returned in the midst of the pandemic, playing only a handful of select dates. He and his band featuring bassist Karina Rykman and drummer Dave Butler have five more shows before the end of 2021, including three sold out nights at The Press Room in Portsmouth, NH this weekend, Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, NY on Thanksgiving weekend, November 27 and a festival appearance at North Beach Music Festival in Miami, FL on December 11.
Benevento has also just released his latest single and accompanying video, "At The End Or The Beginning" (listen/watch/share). BrooklynVegan called the track "propulsive, bouncy psych-pop that sounds like ‘Currents'-era Tame Impala if James Murphy was producing." Co-written with San Diego-based poet/lyricist Alfred Howard, it hints at what's to come from Benevento in 2022 as he puts the finishing touches on a new studio album.
