On Sunday, May 6th, the much-anticipated documentary, Olompali: A Hippie Odyssey, will premiere as part of DocLands Film Festival at CineArts Sequoia Theater in Mill Valley, California.

Embracing the spirit of the counterculture revolution in the late-60s, wealthy businessman Don McCoy drops out and starts a commune at a historical estate in northern Marin County called Rancho Olompali. The group becomes known throughout the Bay Area as the Chosen Family. - Marin's archetypal entry into the legend and lore of the Sixties hippie commune movement. Dubbed by the local press as 'The White House of Hippiedom,' Olompali becomes a hippie mecca. But McCoy's dream of a utopian society is short-lived, and the family's blissful first year is followed by a series of shocking tragedies that threaten Olompali's existence.
