Baltimore-based funk/jam quartet Pigeons Playing Ping Pong has announced the lineup for this year’s edition of their beloved Domefest, a two-day music and camping festival taking place on May 19-20, 2023 at Thornville, OH’s historic Legend Valley. With a stacked roster of top-tier acts and an array of art, workshops, and vendors, Domefest promises to be a weekend of pure musical magic.
Headlining the festival is Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, who will be performing five sets across two nights, including a special “Under Cover” set. PPPP will also host Domefest’s official pre-party on May 18th at Skully’s in Columbus, OH exclusively for Domefest ticket holders. The band is known for their electrifying live shows, blending funk, rock, and improvisation into an unforgettable experience.
Joining Pigeons on the lineup are a mix of Domefest veterans and exciting newcomers. Veteran Vermont jam act Twiddle will return to the festival for the first time since 2014 for two sets, marking their final performance at Legend Valley before their indefinite hiatus begins in 2024. They'll be joined by Domefest alums like TAUK, Magic Beans, Joe Hertler and the Rainbow Seekers, Chalk Dinosaur, The North 41, and Ernie Johnson From Detroit, all of whom are sure to bring their A-game to the stage.
The weekend will also see a highly-anticipated set from The Domefest All-Stars, a star-studded, revolving group of musicians selected from the bands on the lineup. Last year’s performance was included on Nugs.Net’s “Top Guest Sit-Ins of 2022” list.
Three fresh faces will be making their Domefest debuts in 2023: Barefuzz, a Columbus, OH-based psychedelic rock band that will be playing two sets, one featuring original music and another paying tribute to Pink Floyd; Houseplant, a neo-psychedelic groove rock outfit from Louisville, KY; and crypto WAVE radio, a boundary-pushing EDM producer and multi-instrumentalist, better known as the frontman for Domefest alums LITZ.
Weekend passes are available now, with limited amounts of “High Flyer”VIP, GA Car Camping, and RV Passes available. As a thank you to fans, the band is extending the early bird ticket pricing tier until 11:59 PM ET on Tuesday, February 28th. Fans are encouraged to act quickly, as capacity is limited.
