Nu-Blu has embraced the Gospel tradition of bluegrass with their first all-gospel album, Nail by Nail, now available on Pinecastle Records. This special new project includes the recently released first single, “Martha and Mary” that was written by Becky Buller and Nancy Cardwell. The song debuted earlier this month at #8 on the Bluegrass Today Weekly Top 20. The album was recorded and produced by Nu-Blu at Red Squared Audio, located in Siler City, NC.Recently, Nu-Blu joined Dennis Jones for a special Track by Track episode that aired on WNCW Radio’s Goin’ Across The Mountain show. The full album is available now to all radio stations at AirplayDirect.com along with their other music including albums THE BLU-DISC, NIGHTS and their previously released holiday single “Christmas in Dixie.”Not only is radio welcoming NAIL BY NAIL, but critics agree is it an exceptional album saying:“These kids play it straight and are more about sending positive lyric messages than amping up the hellfire that awaits. And they sing and play like angels that walk among us. This is a lovely, four star/thumbs up record... The religious/spiritual market wouldn't be so marginalized if there was more music like this. Well done.” Midwest Record Recap“For fans of bluegrass and country, looking for some uplifting (and edifying) lyrics, Nail By Nail should certainly be a proper selection. The lyrical content of the aforementioned songs, along with the rest of the album, are an inspiring and pointed reminder of the grace of God exposed in the life of His son Jesus.” Alpha Omega News“Nu-Blu is a band that delivers good bluegrass.” Keith Lawrence, Bluegrass Notes“I am so thankful that God opened this door. Nu-Blu is a wonderful group with some wonderful songs in Nail by Nail. I hope you will check out this CD when it comes out publicly. I can see Hammer being sung in churches during the offering or as a special song.” Family Friendly GamingNu-Blu includes the talents of Daniel Routh, Carolyn, Routh, Levi Austin and Austin Koerner who have been extremely busy on the road this year performing over 70 dates at festivals and concerts throughout the USA and Canada. The band recently sat down with John Lawless during the IBMA World of Bluegrass convention and talked about the album.
