Two fresh takes on Tom Petty’s timeless hits, featured on the official soundtrack of Bill Lawrence’s (Ted Lasso, Shrinking) new Apple TV+ comedy series Bad Monkey, debut today. Listeners can now enjoy Charlotte Lawrence’s captivating rendition of "Wildflowers" HERE and Lissie’s dynamic cover of "Into the Great Wide Open" HERE. Adding to the excitement, Charlotte Lawrence not only lends her voice to the soundtrack but also stars in the series.

Lawrence shared her enthusiasm for the project, saying, “I loved getting to cover ‘Wildflowers’ so much. It’s not only one of my favorite Petty songs, but one of my favorite songs period. The rawness of the original record really stood out to us, so we wanted to do it justice by recording it live from top to bottom. I really feel you can hear the vulnerability of the track. It also helped that I got to record this with the most incredibly talented people—Cat Matthews on piano, Harrison Whitford on guitar, Dylan Day on bass, Rob Moose on strings, mixed by Charlie Holmes, and produced by the amazing Marshall Vore. Literal dream crew. So proud of this one!”

The full Bad Monkey soundtrack, a celebration of some of Tom Petty’s most cherished songs, is set for release on October 4 via WaterTower Music, with full support from The Petty Estate.
