The inaugural Miracle In Mundelein event, which will soon make history as Illinois’ first concert to permit onsite cannabis consumption, has unveiled its Canna FAQ - a list of festival guidelines regarding cannabis consumption, purchasing, and more.
Taking place Saturday, September 9 - Sunday, September 10, 2023 outside of Chicago across the street from RISE Mundelein in Mundelein, IL, and presented by RYTHM Premium Cannabis, Sacred Rose, and Dayglo Presents, The Miracle will be a two-day event merging music and cannabis cultures - an unforgettable celebration of cannabis, music, art that fosters camaraderie across communities.
The Miracle lineup spans multiple genres, offering up a cultural mix of hip-hop, jam, reggae and funk artists. On Saturday, the lineup includes legendary, multi-platinum hip-hop group Cypress Hill, underground rap icon, cannabis enthusiast, chef, and media personality Action Bronson, eight-time GRAMMY-winning reggae artist Stephen Marley, and local artist DJ Papa G. Sunday’s lineup includes world-class jam acts such as Grateful Dead offshoot Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, funk-fusion group Lettuce, jam/experimental bassist Karina Rykman, and Chicago DJ Mitch Please.
For attendees curious about how the festival’s onsite cannabis consumption will work, The Miracle’s Canna FAQ outlines the event’s various cannabis experiential elements, rules, and purchase opportunities.
Cannabis consumption is allowed anywhere within The Miracle, and there will be multiple Rolling Stations across the festival grounds. Rolling Stations will come with couches to relax in, as well as high-top tables replete with complimentary grinders, lighters, papers, and rolling trays. Bongs or glass pieces will not be provided.
In addition to the rolling stations, there will be Dab Bars onsite, which will supply electronic rigs for attendees to consume their own concentrate. The rigs will be cleaned by The Miracle staff between each use, and patrons are not allowed to bring their own dab rigs or torches.
The Miracle attendees can bring in their own cannabis supply, and the festival will follow the out-of-state recreational limits within Illinois (15g flower, 250mg edibles, 2.5g concentrates per person). All cannabis must be purchased from an Illinois dispensary and be in the original packaging. The packaging does not have to be sealed.
As far as smoking devices that can be brought in, attendees can bring their own water or non-water-based pieces, but they can’t be longer than 6 inches and must be made from the following materials: electronic (Pax, Dr. Dabber, Puffco etc), glass, metal, wood, or ceramic. Attendees can also bring in pens with refillable concentrate, as well as pre-filled pens and disposables, as long as they comply with the out-of-state regulations.
For purchasing cannabis, the popular RISE Mundelein dispensary is mere feet away from the festival entrance. Products are best purchased before entry, as only a small number of patrons will be allowed to scan out to restock their supply and re-enter.
Alcoholic, hemp-derived, and non-alcoholic beverages will all be available to purchase, as well as a bevy of food vendors.
There will also be sculptures inside the venue for attendees to marvel at and take photos with, including a lifesize, handcrafted, 3D recreation of The Miracle poster, replete with LED plants and a bucket-hat wearing skull. There will also be a transparent tunnel that attendees can walk through.
