Carlos Santana returned to the stage with his band for an emotional and astounding marathon concert at the California Mid-State Fair on Saturday, July 23rd. The show was exceptional for many reasons, but primarily because it took place at all. On July 5th, the now 75-year-old icon fell ill during a performance in Michigan, and his wife (drummer in the band) reported that he collapsed due to heat and dehydration.

Zero has announced their new album Naught Again will have its High Fidelity Double-Vinyl LP release on September 2, 2022 via Omnivore Recordings. Released on CD and digital earlier this year, the record consists of performances newly mixed by Emmy-nominated producer/engineer Brian Risner from the original multi-track tapes recorded by Dan Healy (Grateful Dead) in 1992 at The Great American Music Hall in San Francisco.

Tangerine Records has announced the re-release of the transformative mashup album Ray Sings, Basie Swings, for September 23rd, 2022. Originally released in 2006, the uniquely inspired album mixes previously unreleased Ray Charles vocal performances from the seventies with newly recorded instrumental tracks by the contemporary Count Basie Orchestra, and will be available on all streaming services for the first time in over a decade, as well as on CD and in a double-vinyl package.
