Today, in honor of The Summer of Marley, a brand new, official music video for Bob Marley & The Wailer’s “Could You Be Loved” debuts on Bob Marley’s Official YouTube Channel. The animated video was inspired by Cedella Marley, who has been tapped as the global ambassador of the Jamaican women’s Football program. In addition, Cedella also recently launched a women’s football initiative called ‘Football is Freedom,’ aimed at providing tools & resources to grow & promote the sport for women in the Caribbean/Latin America.

Portland, Maine-based indie trio LOVE BY NUMB3RS--co-vocalists DAN CONNOR and ANNA LOMBARD and multi-instrumentalist JON ROODS--have today (July 13) shared the video for “Earth Needs A Moon” ahead of the single’s July 15 digital release. With its big spacious sound, rootsy feel and the soulful vocals of DAN and ANNA, “Earth Needs A Moon” marks the first single from LOVE BY NUMB3RS’ second album that’s due out September 30.

On a recent summer afternoon at the famous SIR Studios in Hollywood, a new Los Angeles band played an intimate showcase set, debuting some exciting tunes. As their name implies, Circle The Earth blends worldwide musical genres into an eclectic rock stew resulting in a unique and pleasing sound. At first, listen, it may sound like the hard-rocking band overpowers the magnificent vocals of lead singer Khadia Handon.

For deadmau5, summer 2022 is for new music and shows.  Tomorrow (July 15) deadmau5 and friends NERO, Kasablanca and Lamorn get the party started with the kickoff of the deadmau5 presents We Are Friends (WAF) tour at The Met in Philadelphia.   Meanwhile earlier today deadmau5’ track “My Heart Has Teeth” featuring Skylar Grey made its premiere via Rolling Stone.  The song appears on Resident Evil (Soundtrack From The Netflix Series) out now on Milan Records.

Grammy Award-winning roots band Old Crow Medicine Show and John Doe Folk Trio (featuring the prolific singer/songwriter of X and The Knitters) have been added to the lineup for the first annual BeachLife Ranch Country & Americana festival, September 16-18 on the Pacific Ocean waterfront in Redondo Beach, CA.
 

The genre-bending powerhouse, KCL, comprised of guitarist Wayne Krantz, drummer Keith Carlock and bassist Tim Lefebvre, have announced their return this Fall - continuing their “Golden Days” world tour. The excursion will kick off on September 6 at New York City’s iconic club, The Bitter End before concluding on September 17 at another iconic club, The Baked Potato in Los Angeles, CA.

Beloved indie electronic bands slenderbodies and Łaszewo are revealed to complete the full lineup of 2022’s High Ground Music & Arts Experience, presented by Levitate Events. They join an inclusive lineup set to perform at the diverse second year of the 18+ Colorado-based independent festival, which earned the acclaim of Westword Magazine as “People’s Choice Best New Music Festival” following its debut last year.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Beastie Boys’ multi-platinum album Check Your Head, on August 12, UMe will release a limited-edition reissue of the rare 4LP deluxe version of the album, originally released in 2009 as an artist store exclusive. The long out-of-print and much sought-after box set features the 2009 remaster of the original double album, plus two extra LPs of bonus content including remixes, live versions, and B-sides.

Today, two-time Grammy Award winning group Planet Drum is releasing the exuberant “King Clave” from their upcoming album In the Groove, out August 5th.  Master musicians  Mickey Hart (USA),  Zakir Hussain (India), Giovanni Hidalgo (Puerto Rico) and Sikiru Adepoju (Nigeria) are Planet Drum, and “King Clave” is based on a 6,000 person drum circle (which Hart directed in 2004) which establishes the rhythm that connects the musical cultures around the world.
