Devon Allman has announced several new artist additions to the 2022 Allman Family Revival including Vaylor Trucks (son of Butch Trucks), Melody Trucks (daughter of Butch Trucks), G. Love (G. Love & Special Sauce), Johnny Stachela (Allman Betts Band) and John Ginty (Allman Betts Band).

In conjunction with RSD Black Friday, RTM—the worldwide leader in reel-to-reel tape manufacturing—and ThinkIndie Distribution are reissuing a series of critically acclaimed albums on cassette for the first time ever. Alanis Morissette’ Such Pretty Forks in the Road and Giovannie and the Hired Guns’ Bad Habits will make their debut on cassette, along with My Morning Jacket’s much beloved Holiday offering, My Morning Jacket Does Xmas Fiasco Style.

Ever since the first Dark Star Orchestra performance on November 11, 1997, the band’s historical show recreations have always been about continuing the spirit and musical offerings of The Grateful Dead. With more than 3100 performances since that autumn evening in Chicago at Martyr’s, DSO will bring the celebration back to the town where it all began, as the calendar tilts towards a quarter century of music, memories and community.

On November 25 and 26, Papadosio will celebrate the 10 year anniversary of their pivotal album, To End the Illusion of Separation (more commonly referred to as T.E.T.I.O.S.), at the historic Masonic Cleveland.

Australia’s beloved psychedelic surf rock outfit Ocean Alley have announced their upcoming fourth album Low Altitude Living, to be released independently on October 14. The band is also about to embark on their West Coast U.S. tour — earlier this year, Ocean Alley sold out nearly every venue along their eight-show tour of the Midwest and East Coast, including Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, Chicago’s Lincoln Hall, Terminal West in Atlanta, and The Sinclair in Boston.

Bay Area music collective Wreckless Strangers brings California Americana Soul to top Bay Area fall festivals in September and October. With performances at Mill Valley Fall Arts Festival (Mill Valley, September 18), Hardly Strictly Bluegrass (San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, October 2) and Sound Summit (Mount Tamalpais, October 22), the band continues to expand its audience reaching more live music fans with old favorites and songs from their debut album When the Sun and a Blue Star Collide.

Bonnie Raitt has just finished releasing her entire Capitol Records music video catalog in remastered High Definition video. A joint initiative was launched in 2019 between YouTube Music and Universal Music Group to upgrade some of the most iconic music videos of all time to the highest visual quality, to ensure that current and future generations will be able to see and hear timeless classics as they’ve never been experienced before.

Rock guitar dynamo Samantha Fish and outlaw country badass Jesse Dayton have joined forces for an upcoming album of collaborative music, due out in May 2023 via Rounder Records. Fans of both artists won’t have to wait until next year to get a taste of this wild partnership, however. In December, two cover songs and accompanying videos will be released in conjunction with four special concerts. The newly-formed duo will perform in Los Angeles, Bakersfield, Charlotte, and Durham, with show dates listed below.
 

Today, Rhett Miller released “Heart Attack Days,” the new single from This Misfit, his first solo album in four years out this Friday via ATO Records. Miller also announced a string of solo tour dates in celebration of the new album that will make stops in Texas and the Northeast.
