In lieu of WinterWonderGrass Tahoe—which was set to take place this weekend and has since been postponed to April 2021 with the original lineup in tact—the producers of WinterWonderGrass are excited to announce WWG TV, set to launch this coming Friday, March 27th at 6:00 pm MT (5:00 pm PT/8:00 pm ET). Viewers can tune into the livestream via the festival's official Facebook page.

Steve Earle & The Dukes will release Ghosts of West Virginia on May 22nd, 2020 via New West Records. The album was produced by Steve Earle and engineered by Ray Kennedy at Jimi Hendrix’s legendary Electric Lady Studios in New York City. The 10-song set is Earle’s 20th studio album and was mixed entirely in mono, lending a sonic cohesion and punch. In recent years, Earle has experienced partial hearing loss in one ear and can no longer discern the separation that stereo is designed to produce.

Festival producer Danny Wimmer Presents has released the following update about their 2020 music festivals:

There are no pre-existing guidelines for what festivals should be doing during this unprecedented time.  Like the rest of the music industry, we continue to assess new information and make the best-educated decisions possible.  We know you have been anxious for updates from us and we are at a point where we can answer many of your questions about how each of our festivals may be affected by COVID-19. 

On May 15th, the band Hawk, led by the American artist David Hawkins, will release its highly-anticipated new album, Fly, featuring the all-star lineup of Pete Thomas (Elvis Costello, Johnny Cash, Elliot Smith) on drums, Ken Stringfellow (The Posies, R.E.M., Big Star) on bass, vocals, keyboards, synths and guitar, keyboardist Morgan Fisher (Mott the Hoople, Queen, Yoko Ono) and Hawk and Be guitarist Aaron Bakker. Hawkins, also leader of the orchestral folk-rock band Be, is an acclaimed abstract painter and co-founder of the avant-garde ‘happening’ group The Black Mountain Collective.

Club Passim has announced a new series of streaming concerts to help everyone cooped up at home. The concerts began with recent performances by The Ivy Leaf, Kris Delmhorst and Antje Duvekot and continue Tuesday, March 24 with singer-songwriter Will Dailey, live from his living room. Fans will be able to view the concerts through a link on Club Passim’s Facebook page. Club Passim will be taking donations during the shows to help support the musicians and the club.

When it comes to heavenly deities, the preferred choice of instrument is the harp.  There is something so different and refreshing about the harp. In these days of pandemic and panic, a little taste of heaven may do you good. Perhaps because of the huge statue of a harp, it’s not something we see often in the jam band scene until now. 

BMG recording artist Devon Allman of the Allman Betts Band is going to go "on tour" from his house! Since bands can’t go city to city during these difficult and separated times, Allman will change themes from show to show to keep it unique. “One night will be cover songs, one night originals, one night Q&A live, one night special guests, one night request hour, etc” said Allman.
