The rolling American River and Sierra Nevada foothill canyons around it provided once again the backdrop for the Just Exactly Perfect Festival, on the last weekend in September near Placerville, Calif. The intimate micro-fest drew notable jammy bands to the Nugget Campground from the San Francisco Bay Area, Southern California, and the foothills. They delighted the crowd with old-timey songs like “Shortening Bread” And once again, all the audience was dancing and swirling in the morning sunshine.
These guys & gals were the real deal, and looked straight out of the movie: “Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?”
