Eugene, Oregon has welcomed, with open and hugging arms, their newest music venue and restaurant, Hi-Fi Music Hall, located in the smack dab middle of downtown. Many locals remember Hi-Fi as the old Rock n’ Rodeo bar, so there is no doubt this venue seeps with musical nostalgia.

Forty Below Records announces a September 4th release date for Find a Way to Care, the new CD from legendary blues musician John Mayall, distributed by Sony/RED. Forty Below Records will also release a special vinyl LP version of the new album in the fall.

Yes, I am a fan of the Grateful Dead. There was a period of time when they occupied an important part of my life when I was traveling to see many shows with friends and immersed in the Dead community.  While I didn’t care much for some of the personal grooming habits, appearances, or recreational habits of some hard cored Deadheads, I did love their sense of adventure, warm personalities, and iconoclastic lifestyles. The music united us all regardless of our backgrounds or appearances.

The 5th annual Electric Forest (EF) festival returned to the scenic woods of Rothbury, Michigan this past weekend hosting epic live music, stunning art installations and enchanted experiences around every turn. Throughout the long weekend, which offered near perfect weather, 45,000 attendees enjoyed over 125 live music performances on 7 stages, 20+ larger-than-life creative installations and gathering spaces, 250+ colorful roaming characters, 22 disco balls, and endless memories. Electric Forest 2015 once again raised the bar for U.S.

The Grateful Dead will play their last concert ever and we will broadcast this event with a live simulcast of the concert from Soldier Field in Chicago. The box office will open at 4:00 pm  The simulcast concert from Chicago will start at approximately 8:30PM. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $15.00 each and for $20.00 each at the event (if available). No grills, coolers, or alcohol may be brought onto the premises.

Each person in a vehicle must have their own ticket.  Each vehicle must have a minimum of 2 people.

Today, the Home Grown Music Network 20th Anniversary Festival has added five new acts to the lineup for the event happening October 1-3 at Harmony Stage in Mebane, NC. Headlined by Lotus, Keller Williams and one still to be announced, the festival grew with the additions of:

Yamn, the electronica fused rock quartet from Denver, CO, known for their lively powerhouse concerts will continue their 2015 Summer tour with stops in Evansville, IN(Lamasco), Chicago, IL(Martrys’), Brooklyn, NY(Brooklyn Bowl), Burlington, VT(Nectar’s), Albany, NY(Bell Stock), Saratoga Springs, NY(Putnam Den) and Boston, MA(The Church). The band will be joined on drums by Neal “Fro” Evans of Elephant Wrecking Ball, The Ex-Presidents, and formerly of Dopapod.
