This February for Black History Month, the Louis Armstrong House Museum will honor the most influential band in jazz history, Louis Armstrong and His Hot Five through its new exhibit: Hotter Than That – 90 Years of Louis Armstrong and His Hot Five. The Hot Five began recording in November 1925 but really hit their stride with their records of February 1926, including hits such as "Heebie Jeebies" and "Cornet Chop Suey."

Faster Horses Festival has quickly become Michigan’s “go-to summer bash” (Detroit Free Press,) and will return in its fourth year on July 15-17 with a star-studded lineup including headliners Jason Aldean, Eric Church and Lady Antebellum. A three-day, two stage country music and camping festival set among the rolling Irish Hills of Brooklyn, MI and dubbed “The Party of The Summer,” Faster Horses has become known for the strong community vibe within the campsites as well as rapidly winning over artists as one of their favorite shows of the season.
Lonesome River Band had been established for nearly a decade when the band released its landmark album, Carrying the Tradition, in 1991. The critically acclaimed project ushered in a new era for Bluegrass by acknowledging tradition while introducing new elements that expanded the genre.
Now, 25 years later, this award-winning band is again set to build on the familiar while adding bold progressiveness to its legend with this latest release, Bridging the Tradition (Mountain Home Music Company).

Keller Williams' KWatro came to town last Friday. I was anxious to see what songs and what style would be played. I had heard Keller do funk, bluegrass, rock, reggae and pop. Among a few others I am failing to mention. With the addition of three other musicians there is also an entire new ensemble to experience. I had head heard Keller play with The Keels, The String Cheese Incident and Yonder Mountain String Band.
After releasing their new studio single, “Not A Care In The World” in January, Chrome Drones return to Ophelia's for Part II in their three part Winter residency at Ophelia’s in Denver with Mile High Soul Club on Friday, February 19th. Chrome Drones are a live disco-house project featuring musicians/producers from Signal Path, Tiger Party, and Particle.

Pink Talking Fish is bringing their live fusion of Pink Floyd, The Talking Heads and Phish to Colorado in the form of a very special concept show. The band will perform the beloved Phish rock opera GAMEHENDGE in its entirety while intertwining Pink Floyd and Talking Heads songs throughout the piece. This concept debuted to rave reviews during a sold out Halloween performance in Boston MA. The band felt that bringing the Gamehendge concept to Colorado would be perfect based on the adventurous spirit of the state’s music scene.
Since the mid 90’s Wilco has progressed its sound into something perfect. The Chicago based, indie-rock/alt-country, group proved this to fans on the first stop of a twelve-gig tour through the East Coast. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania’s Benedum Center – known for hosting Broadway shows, Orchestras, and other theatrical performances – was left cheering on their feet after a nearly two-hour set.
