The 7^th annual California Roots Music and Arts Festival that takes place at the historic Monterey County Fair and Event Center from May 27-29, 2016, announced its third and final round of artists completing their full lineup.

Two themes have remained constant at Mishawaka Amphitheatre over the years: music and community. Homesteaded in 1916 by Walter S. Thompson (and originally called “Thompson’s Resort”), Mishawaka Amphitheatre has provided a memorable gathering spot for Colorado residents and visitors to enjoy food and beverage, art, music, and spectacular natural surroundings for 100 years.

After a year of tours, awards, a Grammy nomination, and acclaim for Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen, bandleader Frank Solivan keeps the pace with a new solo release, Family, Friends & Heroes. Available March 4, (Compass Records), the album pays homage to Solivan’s family and features the pristine playing of his closest musical heroes. Special guests include members of Dirty Kitchen along with Sam Bush, John Cowan, Jerry Douglas, Rob Ickes, Del McCoury, Ronnie McCoury, and others.

GW:  What did you do for New Years and did you already break your resolutions?

Cornmeal revved the engines for high energy bluegrass in Chicago on New Year’s Eve, 12/31/2015.  They opened up the evening at The Vic Theatre with Edge of the World, an ordinary Cornmeal song with an ambition to fall off the edge of the world to see what happens next.  It was an appropriate choice for the kick off of such a holiday show.  From there, they did some more Cornmeal classics – River Gap and Jenny.  It was a welcome home for th

Progressive funk collective The Motet recently announced 2016 Winter Tour plans.  Among the plans - a selection of vocalist friends, old and new, will join the band along their upcoming Winter Tour dates.
