Three auspicious but sonically distinct Nashville bands - The Features, Heypenny, and Protomen - recently earned coveted career boosts: They will all perform at the 2009 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival as part of "The Road To Bonnaroo" competition sponsored by BMI, Mercy Lounge, and Budweiser Select.

The 2009 Pitchfork Music Festival, to be held July 17 - 19 at Chicago's Union Park, is right around the corner. As the diverse ingredients of the lineup congeal, there are a few changes to be made. Black Lips are now playing on Saturday and Michael Columbia are playing on Sunday.

Mama’s Cookin’ returns to Colorado in June to bring the heat as only they can for 10 shows for the state that gave birth to the band. Mama’s Cookin has become one of Colorado’s favorite group of rockers and this tour finds them playing renowned venues and festivals including a headlining slot at the South Park Music Festival and two huge shows at The Fox Theater in Boulder and at Owsley’s Golden Road in Denver.
