SUNSET STRIP MUSIC FESTIVAL (SSMF) organizers today announced that the fifth annual three-day music festival--taking place on THE SUNSET STRIPThursday, August 16 through Saturday, August 18--will celebrate the music and legacy of THE DOORS.The festival will kick off with an exclusive VIP event honoring the iconic Sunset Strip band on August 16, which will feature an all-star band celebrating THE DOORS, and will conclude with an all-day street fest on Saturday, August 18.

I have a problem. It’s not a joke. I am addicted to music. I have been a victim to this addiction since 1987, maybe earlier.  That was my first live music experience.   My addiction to music has affected me adversely in the following ways: uncontrollable smiles, a feeling of connection to everyone around me, and a sense of synchronicity with harmony and syncopation within my everyday surroundings.

At the security checkpoint we were reminded that glass was prohibited while two gentlemen lightly searched our belongings. We were in.

After playing at Bonnaroo, Hangout Music Festival, Summer Camp Music Festival and plenty of dates in between, Tauk, is heading home to Long Island for two major summer shows.

When I first heard about the Dawg Daze of Summer Festival in Lone Jack, Missouri (July 26 – 28, 2012), I knew I needed to go. There are a multitude of reasons for this, some being: The largest swimming pool in Missouri is there, the band selection is awesome, there are hiking trails and it’s on my birthday! You probably don’t want to go to this specifically for the last reason on my list, but the first three are golden!
