The Shift Network (TSN), a global leader in transformational learning and events, presents an epic three-day free online festival, The Shift Music Festival and Visionaries Summit, September 17-19. World-renowned musicians and visionaries will unite for one purpose: to kick off the Shift Network’s goal of planting 1 MILLION TREES.

Late-night “Afterparty” performances have been announced for the BeachLife Festival. Among the late-night music purveyors of particular interest to Grateful Web readers include renowned Southern California bands Cubensis and The Higgs. On Saturday, The Higgs, whose mission is “Melting faces. Blowing minds. Cerebral jams for the masses,” will jam out post-fest at Samba By the Sea on the waterfront in the Redondo Beach Marina, just a few steps away from the festival site.

The music performance times have been announced for the 11th Orange County Brew Ska Ska. The annual event from Southern California based Brew Ha Ha Productions features an afternoon of craft beer tasting along with music from an all-star lineup of ska and ska punk bands on Saturday, September 11 at Oak Canyon Park in Silverado, CA. Brew Ska Ska attendees will enjoy performances from Less Than Jake, Hepcat, The Aggrolites, Mustard Plug, The Toasters, Bite Me Bambi and Half Past Two.

With Louder Than Life less than a month away, to be held September 23, 24, 25 & 26 at Highland Festival Grounds At KY Expo Center in Louisville, KY, festival producers Danny Wimmer Presents have announced additional onsite entertainment, the full bourbon lineup and unique food offerings for The World’s Largest Rock ‘N’ Roll Whiskey Festival.

MerleFest, presented by Window World—Wilkesboro, North Carolina’s annual homecoming of musicians and music fans—is only one week away. As the festival nears, organizers want to remind festivalgoers of a few important details. Festival gates will open at 1:30 pm local time on Thursday and 9:30 am on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. All attendees and participants will be required to show one of the following 2 options along with festival admission passes to enter the festival:

You purchase a ticket, and exchange it that night for a set of headphones that will allow you to enjoy the show! Return your headphones at the end each night for sanitization and charging!!

The annual Morristown Jazz & Blues Festival returns to the Green on Saturday, September 18, from noon until 10:00 p.m. Canceled because of the pandemic in 2020, this year’s free concert pays tribute to one of its founders Linda Kiger Smith and Mike Fabrizio, a longtime member of the festival committee, both of whom passed away in June. An initiative by Morristown Mayor Tim Dougherty, the Morristown Jazz & Blues Festival is made possible by the generous support of a long list of sponsors.
 

Last weekend’s Railbird Festival which took place at Keeneland Horse Racing Course in Lexington, Kentucky, took some hard hits from the media as the first day seemed to be filled with long lines, high temperatures, and lots of thirsty concertgoers. It was the second time the festival has been held, after being forced to cancel the 2020 event due to the pandemic.

"We are absolutely heartbroken to announce that we must cancel Bonnaroo," the festival wrote on its website Tuesday. "While this weekend's weather looks outstanding, currently Centeroo is waterlogged in many areas, the ground is incredibly saturated on our tollbooth paths, and the campgrounds are flooded to the point that ... we are unable to drive in or park vehicles safely."

Due to the growing threat posed by the Delta Variant of COVID-19, The Town and the City Festival organizers have made the tough decision to postpone the 2021 festival until April 8 and 9, 2022. Originally scheduled for Friday, October 22nd and Saturday, October 23rd, the two-day music and arts festival features more than 50 acts performing in 12 different venues around downtown Lowell, Massachusetts. All tickets already sold for the festival will be honored at the new dates in April.
