Known for consistently booking some of the finest performers in new and traditional folk, roots rock, bluegrass and newgrass, and other American roots music, Suwannee Springfest returns in 2012 for its 16th straight year. Suwannee Springest will be held March 23-25, 2012 at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida and features some of the biggest names in the scene with veterans and up-and-comers alike.

DeLuna Fest and Five Flags Tourism Group are excited to announce the performance schedule for this year’s music festival taking place on the gorgeous sugar-white sands of Pensacola Beach, FL, on October 14th, 15th, and 16th.  DeLuna Fest's five stages and waterfront hotels along Pensacola Beach will play host to over 80 bands including the hottest in today's mainstream and indie rock scene as well as seasoned headliners, regional Southern Rock superstars and the very best in jazz and blues. 

Hancock, NY is a quaint town in the Catskills with little other than a bank, a couple bars, and a small grocery store. It’s home to a splendid property called Camp Minglewood, where kids run around barefoot all summer, go from arts and crafts to swimming to kickball and back to their tiny bunks. Then, the music takes over.

Although there’s no camping at Bumbershoot, the crowd looks funkier than yesterday. I pass many familiar faces strolling around Seattle Center; they may be reapplied with make-up or flourished with new clothes, but no amount of blush can mask the wear and tear of an all-nighter. I get the sense that, even if it wasn’t 80 degrees and sunny, people would still be wearing their shades.

When a Seattleite says ‘look on the bright side’ they’re, more times than not, actually referring to a sunny patch of pavement on the opposite sidewalk. That these words are also used to conduce vitality in the worn and haggard – who, let’s be honest, are most likely depressed due to a Vitamin D deficiency – is sheer coincidence. Or is it?

New Orleans-based icons, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band will perform with The Del McCoury Band at the Austin City Limits Music Festival on Saturday September 17th at 7:00pm, on the Vista Equity Stage.
