On the heels of their two-night 'Vote for Dancing' New Years celebration, the creators at the Beloved Festival have penned a full-day of conscious renewal including an eclectic mix of Live Music, Ecstatic Dance, Yoga, Ritual, and Healing on January 1st at the Yoga Union, in the Breathe Building.
Gathering its inspiration from a poem aptly named "Vote for Dancing," the three-day New Years extravaganza will provide two full nights of music followed by a day of community renewal. Rooted with the goals of fostering growth through action, education, and community connectivity; a number of topics will be explored including civic engagement, creative resistance, and an awakening of purpose. With a focus on nourishing connections, the event will offer much more than a place to stretch the body and the mind including a full-service organic juice bar, kid's village, community lounge, tea house and even a sauna.
Not ones to shy away from spiritual, political or social issues, this 'peaceful takeover,' is family-friendly gathering which will include many activities designed to inspire the local and regional community to come together, and build a new vision for the coming year. Participants can take part in all of the daily events, or pick and choose from an a-la-carte menu of activities, speaking engagements, yoga, workshops and of course, a variety of live music offerings.
Featured guests include a healing workshop with mythologist Michael Meade as he collaborates with master healers from several modalities while weaving myth, poetry, and wisdom with a sacred music ensemble. Performing artists Alya Nereo and Subaqueous will take listeners on an inspired journey into sound while Annie Adamson will lead participants in Primal Vinyasa during a one-hour yoga session.
The Beloved Festival celebrated its 9th year in Oregon in 2016 with record ticket sales converging from nearly every state in the union. A leader in a burgeoning conscious movement rooted in yoga, meditation, and ecstatic dance, the festival is lauded (and often sold out in advance) for hosting world thought-leaders, educators and a diverse roster of music that often spans multiple continents in style and genre on a single and central stage.
The two-night 'Vote for Dancing' celebration will kick off on Dec 30th -Dec 31st at The Roseland Reimagined featuring performances with The Polish Ambassador, Beats Antique, Desert Dwellers, Kalya Scintilla with EveOlution, Clozee, Thriftworks along with some local and regional acts, speakers and special guests. Participants looking for for a place to unwind and find inspiration in the New Year can join the Beloved crew at the Yoga Union at the Breathe Building for any and all of the day-long activities.
