Brandi Carlile will return to the stage to perform Joni Mitchell’s legendary album Blue in full on November 6 at Carnegie Hall. Tickets for the tribute concert will be available early for fan club members starting tomorrow at 11:00am ET followed by public pre-sale on Wednesday at 11:00am ET and general on-sale on Thursday at 11:00am ET.
This is Carlile’s second time tributing Blue following the program’s October 2019 debut at Los Angeles’ Disney Hall. Performed in front of an audience that included Mitchell herself, Variety declared, “a set of 10 confessional songs that, by acclimation, is one of the landmark albums of the previous century, brought back to life by the best pure singer we’ve had in this one” and went on to proclaim, “Confession and conversation finally gave into the high, wordless aria that closes ‘The Last Time I Saw Richard,’ which may have left the crowd tattooed for some time to come with the thought of the last time they saw nirvana.”
The performance is yet another landmark milestone for the six-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, performer, producer and New York Times Best Selling author, whose highly anticipated new album, In These Silent Days, will be released October 1 on Low Country Sound/Elektra Records (pre-order/pre-save).
