Chicago Symphony Center
Jason Isbell fans had a real treat experiencing him and his band, the 400 Unit live at one the of finest concert venues in the country, Chicago Symphony Center. The acoustically perfect venue took the music to a highened level. He played cuts from his new release Southeastern: Flying Over Water, Stockholm, Songs That She Sang In The Shower, Live Oak, other solo songs and a few Drive by Trucker tunes as well: Decoration Day, Goddamn Lonely Love and Never Gonna Change. Being new to his music, I am thoroughtly impressed with his showmanship, musicianship and acumen as a songsmith. I'm looking forward to more from him.
