2017 is shaping up to be a big year for Balkan Beat Box following the release of their 5th studio album Shout it Out last November. While putting the finishing touches on new music offerings to be released in the new year, the band have announced tour dates in select markets with additional dates tba soon. Balkan Beat Box celebrate a short stint of successful stateside dates that wrapped triumphantly this weekend with a packed out show at DC’s 9:30 Club (w/Yemenite sister trio A-Wa in support), having commenced with an equally shoulder-to-shoulder affair at NYC’s Irving Plaza on June 17^th , with the release of their new single, “Shout It Out,” accompanied by a nifty skate n’ spray lyric video. Yesterday’s lineup was the best of the festival, in my opinion. Starting with Balkan Beat Box and ending with The Infamous Stringdusters, there was an eclectic mix of amazing artists in between.
