Dropkick Murphys recently wrapped their acoustic journey with Woody Guthrie to get back to raucous, electric performances, and are now capping that chapter off with a new documentary--This Machine Rising—a movie about working class music.

After two pandemic years off, Boston Calling returned to the Harvard Athletic Complex in 2022. Building off of last year’s success, the festival continues to grow even bigger in 2023. On a mild sunny afternoon, tens of thousands of people descended upon Boston on Friday, for the first day of the event.

Dropkick Murphys put down their acoustic guitars and return to the road this fall for a run of full electric shows joined by The Interrupters and opener Jesse Ahern. The tour kicks off September 27 at the Maine Savings Amphitheatre in Bangor, Maine. Tickets for all shows go on sale Friday, May 19 at 10:00 AM local time at www.dropkickmurphys.com and wearetheinterrupters.com.

Dropkick Murphys are set to wrap up their very special acoustic This Machine…Theater Tour on November 19, but won’t be gone from the road for long as they gear up for their annual St. Patrick’s Day shows. Dropkick Murphys have now announced the full run of dates for Pega Presents…Dropkick Murphys St. Patrick’s Day 2023 Tour. The full-throttle rock tour launches March 1 in Charlotte and culminates with four hometown Boston shows, March 16, 17, 18 & 19. The Rumjacks and Jesse Ahern open most shows.

Punk In The Park returns to Oak Canyon Park in Orange County, California this November 5 & 6 for a full weekend of music and craft beer tasting, with nearly 30 bands spanning the punk rock genre. Iconic bands Bad Religion and Dropkick Murphys headline a powerful lineup that also includes Face To Face, The Bouncing Souls, Anti-Flag, Adolescents, The Flatliners, The Bronx, Voodoo Glow Skulls, CH3, Bad Cop Bad Cop, Mercy Music, The Vulturas, Slaughterhouse, TV Party, Suzi Moon and many more.

Sadly, vocalist Al Barr’s mother was recently diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia. Al, with the support of the band and his family, has made the difficult decision to not join Dropkick Murphys on the road for this run of dates, as well as the band’s upcoming summer European tour.

Boston’s Dropkick Murphys teamed up with the Boston Pops for a special Mother’s Day tribute titled “To Our Darlin’ Mothers.”
