Country hit-maker Lacy. J Dalton celebrated the 40th anniversary of her hit single, “Everybody Makes Mistakes.” Released on December 5th, 1981, the second single from her album Takin’ It Easy reached number 5 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart. The emotional song was co-written by Dalton and Mark Sherrill and has remained a fan favorite over the years. Taking an inward focus, Dalton channeled the heartfelt emotions that we all face throughout life when it comes to all decisions, good or bad.

Lacy J. Dalton is remembered for hits in the 80’s and 90’s including “Crazy Blue Eyes,” “16th Avenue” and “Black Coffee.”  She is a 6-time recipient of BMI Million Airplay awards for her songwriting, and is a multi-Grammy nominee.
