The blues is a music that is engrained in our musical history whether you think it is or not. After reviewing Buddy Guy’s show a few months ago, and conducting this interview with Keb’ Mo’, I have been humbled to listen to and record a live history of a music genre that although its members are dwindling, its passion, invention, and legacy will never weaken.

The second annual Rock The Ocean’s Tortuga Music Festival, which takes place April 12th and 13th and features an all-star lineup of some of music’s hottest acts, serves to celebrate the event’s oceanfront setting while raising awareness of issues related to marine conservation and generating support for marine research. In keeping with those goals, the festival is proud to announce that the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation will present this year’s Conservation Village.

The newgrass quartet has announced their 2014 Spring Tour. The tour sees the group in the Western US and Colorado. It begins in Portland, and then ventures to Sisters OR, Seattle, WA and Eugene, OR. From there H4TH visits California for an evening Phil Lesh’s famed venue, Terrapin Crossroads, for an early set and late set in the bar surrounding Leftover Salmon’s performance in the Grate Room. A stop in Nevada City precedes a two night run at the Crystal Bay Casino performing two special after-shows following Leftover Salmon.

During the summer of 2013, guitar legend John McLaughlin and his trailblazing band The 4th Dimension – Gary Husband on keyboards and drums, Etienne Mbappe on bass, and Ranjit Barot on drums and vocals – a rare tour across America. On June 22nd they performed at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
