Acclaimed musician’s collective Hard Working Americans announces the release of special limited edition 12 inch single, a topical and controversial music video and dates for a summer tour that will begin on July 19. The new dates are an extension of Hard Working American’s first-ever tour, which included a series of sold out shows before the band mates went back to their other musical day jobs.
Bart Herbison, Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) President, said it best: "Get with Lucy, or get out of her way." The "Lucy" Herbison is raving about is the rising Country Singer/Songwriter Lucy Scholl who announces today she will release her new self-titled 5-track EP on July 22nd.

The sound of bluegrass music and the sight of people having fun will be the scene in historic Frankfort, IL, the weekend of July 12 and 13. The 4th Annual Frankfort Bluegrass Festival will take place downtown with fun for the whole family. The free, two day event will feature national, regional, and local bluegrass bands with activities, jamming, crafts, and vendors on Breidert Green (located at Kansas and Oak Streets), surrounded by a town square filled with shops, restaurants, and a children’s museum.
Ever-popular rock poster artist Jim Pollock has designed a limited-edition postcard that the non-profit organization HeadCount will distribute at Phish concerts this summer.To receive a free postcard, fans just need to stop by the HeadCount table and sign a “Pledge to Vote” on the back.
With music festivals popping up in seemingly every open field these days, it takes a lot to stand out—and even more to endure failure. Somehow, Pemberton Music Festival is doing both of those things this year. After a disastrous debut in 2008, Pemberton Festival weathered a few false starts before landing in the capable hands of Huka Entertainment, who have had a heavy hand in festival successes of recent years, including the burgeoning Hangout Festival.
The third weekend of August will once again mark the arrival of YarmonyGrass at Rancho Del Rio on the banks of the Colorado River.
