April 2015

The fourth annual Summer Set Music and Camping Festival (SSMF) returns to the beautiful Somerset Amphitheater in Northern Wisconsin with the festival’s most impressive lineup yet. Known for showcasing an eclectic mix of hip-hop, indie, and jam-style artists alongside some of electronic dance music’s most sought after producers and DJs, SSMF is set to deliver a diverse lineup featuring over 70 artists, performing across five stages.

The Musebox today announced that Dallas rock and rollers Dead Flowers will embark on a highly anticipated tour this April and May. Dubbed the “bastard children of punk and Texas blues” by Dallas Observer, Dead Flowers are, according to frontman Corey Howe, “hungry to go about the traditional, organic way” of building their fanbase.

Acclaimed, award-winning artist Jason Isbell will release Something More Than Free, his highly anticipated fifth album, on July 17 via Southeastern Records. Something More Than Free features Isbell’s Southern-inspired vignettes of working class men, women and traditions that permeate these 11 new songs. The pure honesty and authenticity of Isbell’s poetic lyrics and soulful vocals have connected deeply with so many, and they shine as brightly as ever on Something More Than Free.

Tony Volker is a South London songwriter who makes artfully produced electro-folk, showcased perfectly by the tracks on his new EP 'Break & Reshape' released on 12" vinyl and as a digital download.

Today, Electric Forest (EF) released the names of over 25 artists that are new additions to the lineup, including details on The Curated Event Series, for the festival’s eagerly awaited return to the Double JJ Ranch in Rothbury, Michigan on June 25-28, 2015.
