With a wealth of live concerts under their belt since the late 90s it was nice to finally see The String Cheese Incident release an archival show a few years back entitled Rhythm of the Road Volume 1; a smoking complete performance from the Tabernacle in Atlanta from the winter of 2000. That was a fantastic release but fans have been left wondering if they were ever going to hear more.

It was the first super chilly night in the mountains of Colorado at one of the most beautiful venues in the country. That made the crowd super intimate for the progressive breakbeat house trio. These Canadians are no strangers to cold weather or Colorado. Their shows in Boulder and Denver in the spring attracted many long-time fans. This show was even better than those a few months back. I saw the Boulder Theater show, but there was something about the magic and music of this night that made it the show to see.

When it’s January in Florida that means it’s time for the annual Sunshine Music Festival to bring some of the most electrifying musical performers to the state.  And this year promises to be the most unique yet!  Once again headlined by the preeminent blues-rock leader Tedeschi Trucks Band  the 2016 Sunshine Music Festival features a great line-up of exciting acts on two live music stages along with a wider array of refreshing craft beers and delectable menus from a wider variety of food vendors.

The paths of Leftover Salmon and Breckenridge Brewery came together in 2012 when they threw a street party in celebration of the band's Aquatic Hitchhiker album launch. The first of their beer and music collaborations was in 2013. Leftover Salmon created four original songs that were pre-released exclusively through Breckenridge Brewery’s 12-pack Sampler Packs on Artist Series coasters.

GW: First off you just dropped a new live album on 1320 records titled “HEADROOM.” Can you talk a little bit about why you decided to put out a live record vs. a studio album?
