Images of the American West are spread throughout the compelling new folk and Americana album, Down in the West Volume 2, from California songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Kyle Alden. But there are really two Wests in this album: the Pacific coast of America and the West of Ireland, the sources of many of Alden’s musical inspirations.

From the high deserts of Nevada, The Sextones emerge with their debut album, Moonlight Vision, due out April 7th. Moonlight Vision is a diligently crafted work showcasing their distinctive brand of soul music with smoked out guitar riffs, growling bass lines, commanding drums, sticky organ comping and honest, but catchy vocal acrobatics.

Charles Ellsworth, the southwest born and raised Brooklyn transplant escaped the harsh NYC winter to return to his roots in Arizona and record his first release since his 2015 Wildcat Chuck Charles EP. Ellsworth teamed up with producer Bob Hoag (Courtney Marie Andrews, The Format, Gin Blossoms) and the result is Cesaréa.
