Real Gone Music is hitting the road this Summer with a release schedule that’s definitely in full bloom! Having released all 36 volumes of the Grateful Dead’s groundbreaking Dick’s Picks live concert series, the label is now taking the Dead’s Road Trips series to music retail for the first time EVER (and just like they did with Dick’s Picks, the label is starting with the last volume in the series).

When your music is so diverse that suitable comparisons include No Doubt, Sublime, Katchafire, Inner Circle and even Rihanna (via singer Katherine Ramirez) you know you have a lot of eyes and ears wondering what you’re going to do next. For Mystic Roots Band, a group who came together by throwing college backyard parties in Chico, CA to touring the world as Pato Banton’s backing band, the answer lies in their latest album, CHANGE.

It’s been covered by the Dave Matthews Band, The Guess Who and sampled by Eminem. But that’s merely the short list. Originally released as a single, “Time of the Season” has enjoyed a lengthy and unprecedented run, yet, ironically, the smooth, sexy ballad was originally passed over.

The 8th Annual New York City Independent Film Festival (NYCIndieFF) is just around the corner, set to take place May 1-7, 2017, in the heart of bustling New York City. The festival includes screenings of over 250 films and includes additional events such as panels on crowdfunding for filmmakers and networking events.
