Electric Forest hosts two distinct weekends for the eighth annual music and camping festival in Rothbury, Michigan on June 21–June 24 and June 28–July 1, 2018. Topping the bill on both weekends – The String Cheese Incident, BASSNECTAR, GRiZ Live Band, RÜFÜS DU SOL, and ZHU. Heavyweight DJ Duo Galantis will perform exclusively on the First Weekend. Marshmello will appear only on the Second Weekend.

American original Jane Ira Bloom does it again. This time the 21st-century soprano saxophonist reimagines the poetry of 19th-century visionary Emily Dickinson in two different settings. Her new 2 Cd pack showcases her jazz quartet's interpretation of Dickinson's poetry and includes a second version for jazz quartet and spoken word featuring readings by popular stage & film actor Deborah Rush.

Just in time for holiday gift-giving, single-day tickets for the 31st annual Old Settler’s Music Festival go on sale today (Friday, Dec. 15) starting at 10 a.m. A finite number are available at a discount; when they’re gone, prices rise, so festival fans should act fast. Old Settler’s organizers look forward to unveiling the festival’s new, permanent home in Tilmon, Texas, 12 miles southeast of Lockhart, and to welcoming both loyal festivalgoers and first-timers to an event that merges the best of festivals past with a carefully considered vision for the future.

Sibling blues-rockers Jocelyn & Chris Arndt have propelled into the Billboard AAA Top 40 Radio Charts with their latest single, the dark and brooding "Red Stops Traffic." The song debuted at #37 earlier this week, amongst hit artists including The Killers, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Kings Of Leon, Walk The Moon, and more. Chapel Hill’s esteemed indie Americana band Mipso and acclaimed bluegrass troubadour Ben Sollee and Kentucky Native co-headline a run of shows together in early 2018. Kicking off on February 27th, 2018 at Antone’s in Austin, TX, Mipso and Ben Sollee and Kentucky Native hit 10 cities across Texas and the mid-west before wrapping on March 9th at the International in Knoxville, TN.  See below for the complete list of stops for this co-headlining bill.

One of the most anticipated jazz events of 2017 was The Meeting of The Spirits tour, a co-billing of celebrated fusion icon John McLaughlin & The 4th Dimension with the astoundingly diverse Jimmy Herring and The Invisible Whip. Though the two guitarists/bandleaders spawned from different generations and backgrounds, their affinity for bringing exploratory styles including Indian Classical Music, Spanish guitar, funk, and blues, are an ever-bonding force.
