Officially announced earlier in the week, My Morning Jacket have released their new record, The Waterfall II, an unforeseen and timely continuation of a psychic and sonic journey begun long ago. The album was massively inspired by the band’s idyllic surroundings in Stinson Beach, CA — and a sense of charmed isolation that frontman Jim James likened to “living on our own little moon.” There, the Kentucky-bred five-piece ended up creating over two dozen songs at the mountaintop studio known as Panoramic House.

"Casey Jones" tells the tale of a locomotive engineer who became a folk hero after his death in a train crash in 1900. Filmed between the East and West Coasts, the video celebrates the 50th anniversary of the original Grateful Dead release and showcases iconic locations in NYC and Los Angeles.

TRAIL SONGS: DUSK is available at all DSPs now.

Dates for the Summer Camp Music Festival 20th Anniversary have been rescheduled to take place Memorial Day Weekend 2021. Organizers had remained hopeful that Illinois would enter into Phase 5 of the Restore Illinois Plan, however due to the recent spike in cases nationwide, they have determined that it is no longer safe to hold the event this year.
I love it! The Ghost of Paul Revere absolutely nailed it with their new single and accompanying music video, “Love At Your Convenience.” The vocals are powerful while the instrumentals are heavy and deeply rooted in a soulful mixture of folk, bluegrass, rock and a touch of alternativeness. They refer to their style as ‘holler folk.’ It seems to me it is an adaptation of the field holler genre which was sung by Black slaves.
