Throughout their illustrious 45-year career, the ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND have played many legendary venues and widely-praised live shows; however, up until this point, the sold-out show on July 19, 2005 at the Warner Theatre in Erie, PA hasn't been included on that list.
An extraordinary piece of rock history will finally be heard this October with the release of the ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND's last show with founder and guitarist DUANE ALLMAN. Recorded October 17, 1971 at the Painters Mill Music Fair in Owings Mills, MD, the recording marks Duane's last show, as he was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident 12 days later. Recorded on a hand-held cassette machine by 18-year-old radio journalist Sam Idas, this music will be released for the first time on October 16.

The Ries Brothers release “Troubadour,” a stand-out preview of their upcoming LP ‘Paint Your Emotion,’ out September 18 on CSSL/Megaforce Records.
“Troubadour” joins a list of classic, bittersweet odes to life on the road made famous by Creedence Clearwater Revival (“Travelin’ Band”), Bob Seger (“Turn the Page”), Journey (“Faithfully”), Jackson Browne (“The Load-Out”), and other staples of American rock ‘n’ roll - and it was written by two brothers in their teens and early 20s from south Florida.

Twisted Pine—once a straightforward, Boston-based bluegrass act—has been hard at work, busily evolving into what the Boston Globe now calls “something else, a wider version of a string band; boundary jumpers akin to outfits like Punch Brothers, Nickel Creek, and Crooked Still.” Their influences certainly don’t stop there—Twisted Pine’s collective instrumental and songwriting skills should also be listed in the same echelon of contemporaries like Vulfpeck or Hiatus Kaiyote or Lake Street Dive.
