Carried by vibrantly soulful vocals, set to the definition of a finger-snapping groove, and anchored by a lyrical call for harmony, John Bickel’s “Calling on Sunshine” is a stunning burst of perseverant joy.

This is where it all began for the quartet dubbed “The American Led Zeppelin” - on a 1970 bill that also featured the likes of The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Grateful Dead and Steve Miller Band. Vocalist Rusty Day, guitarist Jim McCarty, bassist Tim Bogert, and drummer Carmine Appice, collectively known as Cactus, made their auspicious debut in their very first public performance that night. Fortunately, this stunning and historic show was captured on tape and has now been unearthed from the archives and released on all formats!

Rumpke Mountain Boys released their newest studio album Know I’m Home, on December 30 in front of their hometown crowd in Cincinnati, OH at Riverfront Live. This is their first studio recording since 2016, which was recorded at the famous Royal Studios in Memphis, TN early last year with the great Lawrence “Boo” Mitchell.

Access to the A Bowie Celebration livestream has been extended through Sunday, January 16th. The concert, with direction by Kerry Brown and musical direction by Mike Garson, took place on what would have been David Bowie’s 75th birthday and features Def Leppard, Duran Duran’s Simon Le Bon and John Taylor, William Corgan, Rob Thomas, Noel Gallagher, Living Colour, Evan Rachel Wood, Gary Oldman, WALK THE MOON and Jake Wesley Rogers among other special guests, including an appearance by Ricky Gervais.
