David Jameson, a former corporate consultant turned songwriter, today self-released his country noir debut album Tall Dark Pines which touches on different aspects of inspiration found through the varied and impactful chapters of Jameson’s life.

Portland-based musician Erisy Watt announces her sophomore album Eyes like the Ocean to be released April 1 on American Standard Time Records. Recorded live-to-tape and produced by Y La Bamba's Ryan Oxford, this is the highly anticipated follow-up to Erisy's 2019 debut hailed by No Depression as “an exercise in what contemporary folk today sounds like at its peak" which earned her support slots for John Craigie, Hurray For The Riff Raff, Dustbowl Revival, and more.

North Mississippi Allstars will release Set Sail tomorrow via New West Records. The 10-song set was produced by Luther and Cody Dickinson and follows their Grammy Award Nominated 2019 album Up and Rolling. Set Sail features an appearance by Stax Records legend William Bell on the album standout “Never Want To Be Kissed” (which Bell also co-wrote and co-produced).

On Friday, January 21st, Reed Mathis’ Electric Beethoven will kick off a monthly release series leading up to the group’s highly anticipated double LP Hear No Evil coming out via Color Red this summer. The eclectic bassist’s brainchild rooted in improvisation and reimagining the works of Beethoven’s vast catalog will kick off the series with “Ramps & Vamps,” an appropriate title to launch the group’s endeavors as Mathis refers to it as the ropes course in the playground that is Electric Beethoven.

Following the success of the Summer Roots festival that brought reggae and surf rock entertainment to SoCal last summer, Brew Ha Ha Productions has expanded the event with the announcement of Desert Roots – a new music and craft beer festival coming to Arizona this spring. Desert Roots Craft Beer & Music Festival will take place on Sunday, March 20 at Scarizona Festival Grounds in Mesa, AZ. The all-ages event will feature music from Cypress Hill, Common Kings, Katastro, Fortunate Youth, Arise Roots, Bikini Trill, and The Irie.
