Today, multi-GRAMMY award winning and multi-genre traversing legend Taj Mahal announced he will celebrate his 80th birthday with the GRAMMY Museum, who will host an intimate conversation moderated by Scott Goldman on Thursday, June 16. The conversation will explore his incredible career and new music including the critically acclaimed recent album release Get On Board featuring Taj Mahal alongside former Rising Sons band mate, Ry Cooder. The event will also feature a live performance by Taj Mahal.

It marks his third time on The Late Show and kicks off a summer of key appearances and a major U.S. tour that includes headlining dates at Central Park SummerStage, Red Rocks and The Hollywood Bowl.

This year Cali Roots sees the epic return to the Monterey County Fair and Event Center after a two year hiatus due to COVID-19.
