Starling Arrow is an all-star cast of spirit-folk songstresses featuring Leah Song and Chloe Smith of Rising Appalachia, Tina Malia, Ayla Nereo, and Marya Stark. Powerhouse songwriters in their own right, and innovative leaders within the industry, the joining of the 5 songwriters and singers have created a potent gift of synergy. All share a common devotion for the love of songwriting which they have elegantly captured in their debut album, Cradle, due out January 2023.

Local Motive's sophomore album, titled “Slice of Life'' is a collection of highly emotional and lyrical funk, soul, & rock ‘n’ roll from their principal songwriter & band founder, Mike Vinopal. The album title is a double-entendre, with “Slice of Life” also referring to how deeply and painfully life can cut us with experiences of loss.

The 81-year-old prodigy has led an inspirational career, keeping the uniqueness of original Soul music alive with his beautiful and moving tracks.

Gulf Coast Records announces the signing of acclaimed Chicago blues guitar great Joanna Connor, and will release her label debut CD in the Spring of 2023. Connor will be going into the studio in December to record the new album.  She’ll be recording with her “Wrecking Crew 22” band that includes: Joanna Connor - guitar and vocals; Shaun Gotti Calloway – bass; Dan Souvigny – guitar and keys; Curtis Moore Jr. – keys; and Jason J Roc Edwards - drums and vocals.

Summer Camp Music Festival organizers announced the initial artists confirmed to perform at the festival, which is taking place at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, IL on Memorial Day Weekend in 2023. Notable artists include Willie Nelson & Family, Excision, Vulfpeck, Goose, Les Claypool’s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade, & The Disco Biscuits. Celebrating the 22nd annual edition of the festival, by Jay Goldberg Events and Entertainment,musicians spanning every genre will take the stage throughout the weekend.

Steppenwolf was formed in 1967 in LA by John Kay (vocals, guitar, harmonica), Goldy McJohn (organ, piano) and Jerry Edmonton (drums) who were previously members of the Canadian band The Sparrows. They were joined by Michael Monarch (lead guitar) and Rushton Moreve (bass). The band signed to Dunhill / ABC Records and were propelled to success in 1968 with their classic single “Born To Be Wild” which became even wider known when the track was featured to great effect in the classic 1969 counterculture film Easy Rider.
