Born out of a love of rock music and for the virtuosity of bluegrass musicians, CMH Records’ Pickin’ On series features the best in bluegrass, paying tribute to the biggest and brightest artists in rock and pop. Legendary grunge and alt-rock icons Pearl Jam are being celebrated with the release of Pickin’ On Pearl Jam out May 12. Ahead of the full-length, the track “Yellow Ledbetter” from the collection performed by Alabama-based quartet Iron Horse is out today (4/21).

After a nearly 20 year wait, Ivan Neville has released ‘Touch My Soul,’ his new solo album, out today via Mascot Label Group / The Funk Garage. The 10-song collection is a celebration of Neville’s emotional and spiritual journey as an artist, a human, a father, and a man; featuring special guest appearances by Bonnie Raitt, Michael McDonald, Aaron Neville, Cyril Neville, Trombone Shorty, David Shaw and members of Preservation Hall.

Pigeons Playing Ping Pong returned for another night of high flying funk and good times at the Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, NY on April 14, 2023. They played a rare three night stand at the well known New York City venue. Night two was one for the ages and almost non-stop for two sets. Several members of the indie soul band Melt joined the fun at various points.
