Mike Gordon has released his new album today. Flying Games (ATO Records/Megaplum) is Gordon's sixth solo album. It was self-produced and recorded by longtime collaborator Jared Slomoff, and mixed by GRAMMY® Award-winning engineer Shawn Everett (Alabama Shakes, The War on Drugs).

Today, funk legend Bootsy Collins (Parliament-Funkadelic, James Brown) released his long-anticipated single “Funk Not Fight”  featuring rapper Baby Triggy and singer/rapper Fantaazma. The track is the first from the forthcoming Funk Not Fight compilation, which was announced last fall to encourage burgeoning young talent to lend their voices and talent to this vital anti-violence initiative.

Gibson Gives, the philanthropic arm of Gibson–the iconic American instrument brand–donated 52 guitars, gear, and equipment to benefit students attending the National School of Arts in Cuba.

Folksinger Michael Johnathon and the WoodSongs Front Porch Association (WFPA) will host the 7th annual National Gathering of SongFarmers on Friday, May 12 and Saturday, May 13 at the historic Kentucky Music Hall of Fame & Museum estate in Renfro Valley, Kentucky. Front Porch pickers from across the country, called “SongFarmers,” will make their annual pilgrimage to the foothills of Appalachia for live music, hands-on workshops, active song circles, bluegrass jams, films and fun for the entire family.
