Today, the makes-perfect-sense pairing of Jim Lauderdale and The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys released their new collaborative album, The Long And Lonesome Letting Go. A twelve-song LP of all-new Lauderdale co-writes—half of which were written with Po’ Ramblin’ Boys guitarist Josh Rinkel. “It was really validating—Jim Lauderdale calling us to do a bluegrass album,” says Po’ Ramblin’ Boys mandolinist C.J.

KillerStar is a new band led by Rob Fleming (vocals, guitar, synths) and James Sedge (drums) and features an array of David Bowie’s most trusted collaborators: Mike Garson on piano; Earl Slick and Mark Plati on guitar; Gail Ann Dorsey and Tim Lefebvre on bass; Emm Gryner on backing vocals; and Donny McCaslin on saxophone. Collectively they have crafted a sound which fuses the scale of classic rock with sophisticated harmonies and elements of art rock.

Annapolis Baygrass Music Festival takes place Saturday, September 30 & Sunday, October 1 on the gorgeous beach at Sandy Point State Park along Chesapeake Bay in Annapolis, MD. Today Candid records has released Sardinia, a previously unreleased live recording of Chick Corea performing with Orchestra da Camera della Sardegna in Sardinia, Italy. Recorded in 2018 under the direction of conductor Simone Pittau, the album features Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 24, and George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody In Blue.” Sardinia is currently available to order here.
