In his latest book for children, Guthrie recounts the tale of seemingly real monsters lurking in and around his bedroom. His descriptive verse is wonderfully captured by longtime friend and illustrator, Kathy Garren (her third collaboration with Guthrie). The tale builds to a climax when Arlo's father, Woody Guthrie, walks into the room and helps his young son understand the nature of monsters, and how to deal with them. The fictional account will leave readers of every age comforted and ready for a good night's rest.
