BeachLife Festival--Southern California’s premier coastal live music, art, and culinary experience celebrating beach culture, May 13-15 on the waterfront in Redondo Beach, CA--has announced music performance times as well as the featured chefs for the event’s exclusive upscale culinary experience. While the music from headliners Weezer (Friday), The Smashing Pumpkins (Saturday) and Steve Miller Band (Sunday) takes center stage at BeachLife Festival, The DAOU SideStage Experience provides foodies the opportunity to be seated onstage (literally) and served a four-course meal by celebrity chefs while their favorite musicians perform, with the Pacific Ocean as the backdrop.
BeachLife Festival’s eclectic beach-focused music lineup features more than 55 top artists across the spectrum of rock, indie, jam, reggae. In addition to the headliners, there will also be performances from a wide range of talent including 311, Sheryl Crow, Vance Joy, Black Pumas, Lord Huron, Stone Temple Pilots, UB40 feat. Ali Campbell, Cold War Kids and many more.
Hailed as the “best restaurant in the South Bay” by the Orange County Register, The DAOU SideStage Experience is a 90-100 seat sit-down, pop-up restaurant, and the first culinary opportunity of its kind, located on the main stage and serviced by a team of award-winning chefs who create their menus alongside the artists curating their setlists. This is truly a one-of-a-kind rock star dining experience that provides the ultimate “dinner and a show” opportunity.
Handpicked chefs who represent Southern California culture will curate a truly multi-sensory festival experience. The BeachLife Festival 2022 chefs will be: Ray Hayashi of RYLA in Hermosa Beach (Friday), Kevin Meehan of Kali in Los Angeles, and BeachLife’s own Executive Chef Jacob Ramos (Sunday). Chef Ramos will be involved with execution of the other chef's menus, as well as his own culinary “set lists.” This year will also feature a brunch on Saturday and Sunday prepared by Chef Ramos.
In addition, Marino Monferrato, Vice President of Hospitality Operations at DAOU Family Estates and the beloved Maitre d’ from Hell’s Kitchen since Season 13, will be bringing the DAOU wines to life on the DAOU SideStage Experience.
“We believe food and LIVE Music create visceral memories for people,” explains BeachLife Festival’s Christine Staggs. “The DAOU SideStage Experience is all about creating these lasting, unforgettable memories. When you pair incredible chefs with amazing artists and fantastic wine, it just doesn’t get any better!”
“At DAOU, we believe that a life well lived is created through connection. We seek to curate experiences that celebrate life through the lens of wine. Based in SoCal, an area where we have many DAOU supporters who we hold dear to our hearts, the Beachlife Festival is the perfect expression of art, music, culinary, and wine that speaks to our core values. We are thrilled to be a part of it.” says Neb Lukic, President, DAOU Family Estates.
The DAOU SideStage Experience features a $90-$250 per person prix fixe menu, excluding tax, tip and alcohol. Diners will have access to a premium full bar and specially curated wine list from DAOU Family Estates, based in the Adelaida District of Paso Robles, only available on the SideStage.
DAOU SideStage will accept reservations for all three days of the festival. Reservations will last 60-90 minutes, coinciding with the artist sets on the HighTide Main Stage. Reservations are extremely limited and will only be available for BeachLife ticket purchasers, with priority given by festival ticket levels, starting with the Admiral’s Pass, and followed in order by Captain’s Pass, VIP Passes, GA+ and GA, and further prioritized by date purchased. Reservations can be made through a dedicated concierge after purchasing festival tickets. Reservations are non-refundable and there are no cancellations. Dining reservations do NOT include entrance to the festival.
In addition to the 5-star DAOU SideStage Experience, BeachLife will offer various food and beverage options including a massive craft beer bar with local LA breweries, and multiple bars, lounges, food vendors, and food trucks across the venue, accessible to all festivalgoers.
