Nashville alternative group Birdtalker has released the second single from its debut EP, Just This. The single, "Graveclothes," was premiered by Americana music blog Mother Church Pew which called the track, "...a festival-ready rollicking strummer..." The single is now available to purchase and stream at iTunes and Spotify.
Dani Green of Birdtalker says the song is, "...about coming to the realization that you're responsible for your own happiness. It's a song about getting out of your head, and getting out of your way." "Graveclothes" follows the release of the band's debut single, "Heavy," which has amassed over 500,000 plays at Spotify since releasing on June 24.
The group's six-song EP, Just This, was recorded in Nashville at Glass Onion Recording Studio with co-producers JD Tiner (Erin Rae) and Dan Fernandez (Great Peacock), and will be independently released on August 19. Birdtalker will celebrate the release of its debut EP in Nashville on September 1 at The High Watt. Opening the show is Great Peacock, along with special un-announced guests.
Birdtalker began with Zack and Dani Green, a newlywed couple, writing a few songs together in their spare time. Friends in Nashville began to take notice, and the duo quickly grew into a five-piece. In its brief time performing together Birdtalker has had notable appearances opening for The Strumbellas, Escondido and Marc Scibilia.
