Congratulations to Bonobo, who today earned two GRAMMY Nominations in the Best Dance/Electronic Recording category and is now a 5-time GRAMMY Nominee.
The nominations are for: *“Heartbreak,” by Bonobo and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. The song was issued in November 2020 and was the first single released on Bonobo’s own OUTLIER label, a partnership with Ninja Tune.
*“Loom,” by Olafur Arnalds and featuring Bonobo
Bonobo will also release a new album - Fragments - on January 14 (Ninja Tune) and earlier today shared the first official music video for the album. Watch “Otomo” here. Fragments features Jamila Woods, Joji, Kadhja Bonet, O’Flynn and others. Born first out of fragments of ideas and experimentation in his Los Angeles studio in 2020 and 2021, the album ultimately was fused together in a burst of creativity fueled by both collaboration and Green’s escape into the wild. Fragments has already been covered by Pitchfork, The Fader, Billboard, SPIN and beyond. Read more in this recent Rolling Stone feature.
One of the biggest names in dance music, Green earned two GRAMMY nominations for his previous full-length, 2017’s Migration. Migration reached #1 on Billboard’s Dance album chart, hit Top Ten positions in several countries and 2 million fans attended the tour in support of that album. He’s also a favorite mainstage performer at the world’s greatest music festivals and has revealed an extensive 2022 tour.
