AEG Presents is thrilled to announce that the iconic rock band CAKE will be performing two highly anticipated shows in Colorado next summer. CAKE will take the stage at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Thursday, July 24, 2025, followed by a show at Dillon Amphitheater on Friday, July 25, 2025.
Formed in the mid-1990s as a somewhat subversive counter to grunge, CAKE has consistently defied conventions by seamlessly blending diverse musical genres and influences into their distinct sound. Their most recent album, Showroom of Compassion, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart, earning praise from The New Yorker as “deadpan brilliance.” With a reputation for thought-provoking lyrics, infectious melodies, and eclectic instrumentation, CAKE continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
Currently in the studio working on their ninth album (slated for an autumn 2025 release), CAKE has offered fans a taste of what’s to come with new tracks like “Hold You (Responsible),” contributed to Noise For Now’s compilation album Songs For Sex in support of reproductive rights. Additionally, the band premiered another new song, “Billionaire in Space,” during a recent “Live From the Freight Elevator” session at Texas Public Radio—vocalist John McCrea describes it as “an observation of all billionaires and the economic imbalance that we have been lulled into accepting as the norm. It is a song about being left behind.”
Don’t miss your chance to see CAKE live in Colorado as they bring their genre-defying energy, fan-favorite hits, and new material to two of the state’s most iconic outdoor venues.
