On the pulse of their music's heartland, The Empty Pockets, a dynamic roots rock quartet from Chicago, today announced the release of their highly anticipated single, “Shocked By An Electrician.” This track, which fuses a Chicago blues groove with blistering female lead vocals, is the latest from their forthcoming album, Gotta Find The Moon, scheduled to drop on September 8, 2023. The single, recorded live with a legendary Hammond organ previously played by Paul McCartney himself, is now available for streaming and download.

Having gained recent attention on Spotify’s "Noteable Releases" and "ASCAP New Music Friday," The Empty Pockets have planned more than fifty tour dates over the next five months. One such show includes a promising night on August 31st at "Live on the Lanes" at 2454 West in Greeley, CO. Grab your tickets HERE.
The group's new material reflects their soulful 70’s-inspired grooves, dynamic time signatures, and distinctive vocals. Their latest offering, "Make It Through," showcases the tight musicianship and lyrical prowess of this husband-and-wife fronted quartet.
Following the success of their 2022 studio album, Outside Spectrum, which topped the Billboard Blues Albums Chart, Gotta Find The Moon promises to be more ambitious. The album, featuring fourteen meticulously crafted tracks, maintains the band’s classic four-piece rock setup, featuring Nate Bellon on bass and Adam Balasco on drums.
The album, recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, carries the distinct energy of this iconic location. Band members Josh Solomon (Guitar & Vocals) and Erika Brett (Keyboards & Vocals) found a profound inspiration within its historic walls. As Brett fondly recalls, “Singing into the same microphone Paul McCartney once used to track vocals melted my brain a little bit, and that same feeling also brought out the absolute best performances from the whole band.”
